Oban - Barra.
Since my pal Ali and I have had to cancel our holiday till next year, I thought I'd do a virtual holiday instead.
Today we would have been heading off on the ferry to Barra, for a night in the hostel, before starting our walk on the Hebridean Way tomorrow morning.
Today I went out walking at 7.00am, before the heavy rain started, and managed 7 miles up to the fairy hill and back. I was wearing my new waterproofs, bought for the Hebrides, and was glad of them as the last couple of miles were pretty wet. I missed the Calmac fry up when I got home though!
Thinking of all the businesses in this part of the country who rely so much on tourism to sustain them, and hoping that they can survive.
Off to explore on the first day of my holiday now ;)
